We practice in the British fashion.
As barristers and trial lawyers, we offer our services only to
members of the Bar. If you are a member of the Bar, either in
private practice or in a law department, and would like more information
concerning our practice and our trial and litigation services,
please contact either our United States or United Kingdom offices.
If you are not a member of the Bar you should not be within
this website. Instead, please have your solicitor or attorney
contact us if you wish further information.
Our practice is limited to assisting
members of the Bar either as Local Counsel or Trial Counsel. We
recognize that lawyers may have the need to join with other lawyers
in complex litigation matters. Rather than simply refer the client,
we suggest that you follow the British practice and bring in the
trial lawyer as a member of the over-all team. For well over a
quarter century we have been providing the profession with speciality
litigation and advocacy services.
Our interests and experience lie in
the limited area of litigation and trial practice. Unlike substantive
areas of the law which can be mastered through study, advocacy
and litigation can only be understood through years of continued
practice. In essence, the courtroom is stage and advocacy is art.
We provide litigation and advocacy assistance
in five broad areas of dispute:
Internationally, we provide consultative
services to lawyers in the United Kingdom and the United States
concerning choice of law and conflicts of law issues. Enquiries
