Adobe PDF versus Nitro PDF: The verdict

Oct 11th, 2010 | By critellilaw | Category: Technology

While .pdf may be the format of choice for electronic filing with the Courts, secure document exchange and a “one size fits all” format for daily use, paying the $449.00 or so for a full copy of Adobe Acrobat Pro is a bit steep. For this reason, I decided to try out an Adobe competitor: Nitro PDF Professional.

Versus

Since you are likely familiar with Adobe Acrobat (and I’m talking about the full version and not the free Adobe Reader), I won’t go into specifics. Suffice to say that over the past 3 months I have used Nitro PDF Pro on an almost daily basis and have had absolutely no problems doing anything, it converts, reverts, OCRs and everything else you would expect from Adobe. The best thing: it is a fraction of the cost at only $99.

Consider downloading a free trial of Nitro Pro and let me know what you think. I’ve been trying to put it through the paces and haven’t had it fail me yet.
